Enduros
Team Turner will be entering a selection of 1-Man and 2-Man Eastern Centre ACU Enduros throughout the season when they do not clash with our other sporting activities (namely the powerboat racing). These events are held at various locations around East Anglia. The courses normally consist of a mixture of farmland and woodland.
Foxborough Endurothon 14th March 2010
This event is run by Sudbury MCC and is a 6 hour Enduro that can be entered as either a two-man team or as a solo ironman if you are feeling particularly tough. Dale and Wayne entered this event as a two-man team. The course was approximately 3 miles in length and consisted of hilly farmland, ditches, woodland, jumps and a couple of bogs. The course was in good shape considering the amount of snow and rain there had been in the weeks prior to the event. However some riders were still getting stuck on parts of the course and one of the climbs out of the woods was quite challenging! Both Dale and Wayne avoided getting stuck for any length of time in the nearly bike deep ruts that were appearing on parts of the course and finished in a credible 24th place out of 39 teams in the Clubman class.
