The European F:250 Championship is a three round series for the 250cc Outboard Hydroplanes and is open to all European drivers. Round 1 is in Boretto, Italy (10th - 11th May), Round 2 is in Baja, Hungary (5th - 6th July) and Round 3 is in Bitterfeld, Germany (9th - 10th August).

Round 1 - Boretto, Italy (10th - 11th May)

At the first round of the UIM F:250 European Championship held in Boretto, Italy Wayne qualified in second position, with Claudio Fanziniz taking pole position. In the first race Wayne got a good start and exited the first turn in second place, close behind Fanzini. As the race progressed the water conditions got rougher and when Fanzini made a mistake exiting a turn Wayne got passed and extended his lead to the end of the race. Second place went to Massimiliano Cremona, with Alessandro Cremona third. In the second race Wayne again made a good start and exited the first turn in the lead and went on to extend his lead over the chasing pack as the race progressed, taking the chequered flag unchallenged. Second place went to Rene Behncke, with A. Cremona third. For the third and final race Wayne again made a good start and took an unchallenged win to make it a commanding three from three. Second place went to A. Cremona, with Behncke third. This meant Wayne took a maximum points victory with Alessandro Cremona second and Rene Behncke third.

Round 2 - Baja, Hungary (5th - 6th July)

The second round of the UIM F:250 European Championship was held in a very hot and sunny Baja, Hungary. Wayne had a good setup and was fastest in both free practice and qualifying, taking pole position from Peter Bodor. In the first race he got a good start, exiting the first turn in the lead. Wayne established a comfortable lead until lap 5 of 8 when the engine suddenly stopped, ending his race. The problem was caused by a broken earth wire. The win went to Peter Bodor, with Michal Kosut second and Heiko Schmidt third. With the problems fixed Wayne had to start from the back of the grid because of the DNF in the previous race. However Wayne got a good start and exited the first turn in second position, Behind Bodor. Wayne was unable to pass Bodor and finished in a comfortable second place, with Kosut third. In the third and final race Wayne again got a good start and exited the first turn in the lead, the position he maintained until the end of the race. Kosut finished second with Schmidt third. Wayne had scored enough points to make the overall podium, albeit the final step in third. The win went to Michal Kosut, with Peter Bodor second. This result means Wayne has extended his championship lead with just one round left.

Round 3 - Bitterfeld, Germany (9th - 10th August)

At the third and final round of the UIM F:250 European Championship held in Bitterfeld, Germany the weather was perfect on the Friday afternoon for free practice, in which Wayne set the fastest time ahead of Peter Bodor. However the wind increased significantly on the Saturday and the water conditions were so bad that the 250cc class did not get out on the water at all. The weather on Sunday had improved enough to allow racing to commence, but because of the lost time qualification was scrapped. This meant the starting order for the first race was that of the championship standings, this would see Wayne starting from pole with Heiko Schmidt second and Michal Kosut third. In the first race Wayne got a good start and exited the first turn in the lead. He continued to extend his lead until the race was stopped when Schmidt crashed on the main straight. In the rerun race Wayne again made a good start and went onto win the race comfortably ahead of Bodor in second and Kosut third. For the second race the wind had again increased making the water very rough and unpredictable. Wayne got a good start and exited the first turn in the lead but took a cautious approach to the first lap and crossed the line at the end of the lap in second behind Bodor. He continued to hold a comfortable second until he was forced to retire with a broken propeller. Bodor went on to win with Kosut second and Andreas Otto third. With the DNF in the previous race Wayne was starting the third and final race from the back of the grid, but still managed to cross the line at the end of the first lap in second place. He maintained this position to the end of the race to finish in a comfortable second place behind Bodor, with Otto third. This result gave Wayne enough point to finish in second overall behind Peter Bodor, with Michael Kosut third. This result meant that Wayne was crowned 2014 UIM F:250 European Champion, with Peter Bodor second and Michael Kosut third. This is now the second year in succession that Wayne has won the European title.
