World O:250 Championship
Barcis, Italy (17th - 18th June)
The World O:250 Championship is a one round event comprising of four races with the best three counting to the overall position. It is open to all drivers from around the world.
European F:250 Championship
The European F:250 Championship is a three round series for the 250cc Outboard Hydroplanes. Round 1 is in Boretto, Italy (3rd - 4th June), Round 2 is in Stewartby, UK (1st - 2nd July) and Round 3 is in Ternopol, Ukraine (26th - 27th August).
Round 1 - Boretto, Italy (3rd - 4th June)
The first round of the UIM F:250 European Championship was held in Boretto, Italy, with 14 entries. Wayne had been struggling to find a good setup for his new engine but managed to post the 5th fastest time in qualifying, with pole position going to Peter Bodor. In the first race Wayne got a good start and battled all race to cross the line on fourth. The win went to Bodor, with Alex Cremona second and Max Cremona third. In the second race Wayne again got a good start, but with just a lap to go the engine stopped with a broken piston ring. Bodor again took the win with Matteo Gandolfi second and Marco Malaspina third. With the DNF in the previous race Wayne would have to start form the back of the grid for the third and final race, but managed to work his way through the field to finish in 5th. Bodor made it three wins from three, with M. Cremona finishing second and David Loukotka third. The overall win went to Peter Bodor with Max Cremona second and Matteo Gandolfi third. Wayne finished in 6th place despite not finishing the second race. The second round of the championship will be held at Stewartby, UK on 1st - 2nd July.
Round 2 - Stewartby, UK (1st - 2nd July)
At the second round of th UIM F:250 European Championship was held in Stewartby, England Wayne qualified in second position, with pole going to Peter Bodor. In the first race Wayne came home in third place with Bodor taking the win and David Loukotka second. The schedule for the second day of completion had to be delayed because of strong winds. When the second race finally got underway Wayne finished in 4th place. The win again went to Bodor, with Loukotka second and Marco Malaspina third. The third and final race was cancelled because of the delays caused by the weather and a serious accident that occurred in the second F4 race. The overall win went to Peter Bodor, with David Loukotka second and Wayne third. The third and final round final round of the championship will be held in Ternopil, Ukraine on 26th - 27th September.

Round 3 - Ternopil, Ukraine (26th - 27th August)
The final round of the UIM F:250 European Championship was held in Ternopil, Ukraine, with 13 entries. Wayne had solved the engine setup problems that had hampered his performance at previous rounds and set the third fastest time in the single lap shoot-out qualifying session, with pole position going to Peter Bodor. In the first race Wayne made a good start but on the run to the first turn the engine failed and Wayne scored a DNF. The win went to Bodor, with Matteo Gandolfi second Andrea Ongari third. For the second race Wayne would have to start from the end of the grid because of the DNF in the previous race, however Wayne put in an exceptional drive to finish the race in third place. Gandolfi took the win and Bodor finished second. In the third and final race Wayne finished in 5th place, with Gandolfi again taking the win with Ongari second and Bodor third. Wayne had scored enough points to finish in 5th passion in the overall standings. The event win went to Matteo Gandolfi, with Peter Bodor second and Andrea Ongari third.
This result meant Wayne moved up to the silver medal position in the final championship standings, with Peter Bodor taking the gold medal and Matteo Gandolfi the bronze.
