World F:250 Championship The World F:250 Championship is a four round series for the 250cc Outboard Hydroplanes. It is open to all drivers from around the world. Round 1 is in Jedovnice, Czechia (16th - 17th May), Round 2 is in Znin, Poland (30th - 31st May), Round 3 is in Boretto, Italy (13th - 14th June) and Round 4 is in Chodziez, Poland (27th - 28th June). Round 1 - Jedovnice, Czechia (16th - 17th May) At the first round of the UIM F:250 World Championship held in Jedovnice, Czechia the weekend didn't start well for Wayne as one of the new engine components failed in practice resulting in a loss of setup time and requiring for the engine to be completely rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt in time for qualifying, but Wayne was lacking a bit of pace and ended up with the 7th fastest time, despite setting the fastest time earlier in the session. Pole position went to Max Cremona, with Nikola Todorov second and Pete Nydahl third. In the first race Wayne got an ok start but in the commotion of the first turn got water on the inside of his visor causing him significant vision problems for the first few laps. He battled hard in the mid field but could only manage 7th place at the end of the race. The win went to M Cremona, with Todorov second and Pete Nydahl third. In the second race whilst battling hard for positions Wayne suffered a DNF caused by a broken crankshaft. The win again went to M Cremona, with Todorov second and Nydahl third. Without enough spares or time to repair the engine Wanye had to change it for his older spare. This meant he would have to surrender the points he'd scored so far, but it was worth the gamble as there was a good chance he could get a better finish in the last race, given his only score was a 7th place from race 1. Starting from the back of the grid he got a good start and was battling hard in the midfield, lying in 6th for most of the race, but was just beaten to the line to finish 7th. M Cremona made it three from three, with Todorov again second and Alex Cremona third. The overall win went to Max Cremona, with Nikola Todoroz second and Pete Nydahl third. Wayne's single 7th place score meant he ended up 9th overall. The next round of the championship will be held in Znin, Poland on the 30th-31st May. Round 2 - Znin, Poland (27th - 28th May) At the second round of the UIM F:250 World Championship held in Znin, Poland Wayne was again suffering with problems with his best engine. With the need to complete a lap in practice to progress though to the remainder of the event, with only ten minutes remaining Wayne decided to change the engine, which he and the team managed to do and he completed the mandatory lap just as the chequered flag was being flown to end the practice session. Lacking setup time Wayne could only manage to set the 5th fastest time in qualifying. Pole went to Nikola Todorov, with Max Cremona second and Alex Cremona third. In the first race Wayne dropped some places at the start but managed to move forward as the race progressed and took the chequered flag in 5th position. The win went to Max Cremona, with Alex Cremona in second and Joonas Lember in third. Wayne managed to go one better in the second race with 4th, the win again went to M Cremona with A Cremona second and Thomas Mantripp third. Unfortunately, Wanye didn't get the opportunity to make any further progress in the overall result and improve on 4th as there was insufficient time for the third and final race, resulting from weather related delays earlier in the event. The overall win went to Max Cremona, with Alex Cremona second and Thomas Mantripp third. The next round of the championship will be held in Boretto, Italy on the 13th-14th June. Round 3 - Boretto, Italy (13th - 14th June) At the third round of the UIM F:250 World Championship held in Boretto, Italy Wayne was suffering from a lack of pace in practice as he was having to use an older specification engine because the problems with his best one hadn't been resolved. For Qualifying Wayne made some changes to the engine and the performance improved and he set the 4th fastest time. Pole position went to Alex Cremona, with Max Cremona second and Pasquale Contento third. In the first race Wayne got an ok start and maintained his position to finish in 4th place, with the win going to M Cremona. A Cremona finished second and Contento third. In the second race Wayne got squeezed slightly at the start and dropped back and could only manage 5th place come the end of the race. The win again went to M Cremona, with A Cremona second and Contento third. For the third and final race Wayne made some adjustments to the engine setup and he got his best start of the weekend, and after enjoying a race long battle crossed the line in second. M Cremona made it three wins from three, with Joona Lember finishing in third. This result moved Wayne up the event rankings and he finished in 3rd place overall, just a handful of points behind second. Max Cremona took the overall win with Alex Cremona second. The fourth and final round of the championship will be held in Chodziez, Poland on the 27th - 28th June. Round 4 - Chodziez, Poland (27th - 28th June) At the fourth and final round of the UIM F:250 World Championship held in Chodziez, Poland Wayne was again using his older specification engine as there had been no time to repair and test his best one due to the tight schedule of the series. However, in qualifying Wayne showed good pace and set the 4th fastest time. Pole position went to Marek Peeba, with Alex Cremona second and Max Cremona third. Wayne took a gamble on propeller choice for the first race in the hope to maximise the start, though this prop proved to be too slow and he dropped back as the race progressed and crossed the line in 7th. The win went to A. Cremona, with Peeba second and M. Cremona third. For the second race Wayne changed the propeller and was running towards the front of the field until he had to take avoiding action due to a driver ahead making a sudden change of direction. This dropped Wayne down the field and he could only recover to 6th position by the end of the race. The win again went to A. Cremona, with M. Cremona second and Peeba third. At the start of the third and final race Wayne's engine bogged down going off the line, and he was last at the end of the first lap, though he did recover to finish in 6th place. A. Cremona made it three wins from three, with M. Cremona second and Thomas Mantripp third. Alex Crmeoan took the overall event win with Max Cremona second and Marek Peeeba third, with Wayne finishing . This result meant Wayne maintained his 4th place in the championship standings. Max Cremona was crowned champion, with Alex Cremona second and Thomas Mantripp third. Overall Standings
